Yeoh & Goh Family gathering

Our yearly Christmas feast started on 24 Dec at Patrick and Charlene’s house. As usual, lots of effort was put in decorating and cooking.

The food was all to my liking this year. Especially the fish.

Beautiful set up

Here’s a closeup on the centerpiece.

Nice Christmas cake for dessert.

Here’s our family photo for 2017!

Ah Gong loves carrying Raeanne! He couldn’t bear to put her down even when he was eating.

Rachael tried udon for the first time and she loves it. After food, she went to Chloe’s room to play with her toys.

On Christmas Day, the Goh family gathered at my house for steamboat. We forgot to take a group photo together.

But we remembered to take pictures for the kids.

Joreen bought a chocolate and a durian cake for us. The durian cake was delicious!

Mum bought these Vietnamese costume for the 3 girls. They left glitters everywhere in my house...

My aunt came as well and she loves carrying Raeanne.

After they left, it was the moment Rachael had been waiting for earnestly... to open all her presents.

This morning Rachael told me, “Mama, next time can I don’t take pictures of opening the presents? I don’t like to take pictures.” Oh well...

Here’s part of Raeanne’s presents.

Dear God,

Thank You for keeping everyone in the Yeoh and Goh family safe and healthy this year. I pray for good health to follow all of us and abundance to be with us in 2018 as well. I pray and lift up my mum, Bro, Andy and Carol’s salvation into Your hands. Slowly but surely their hearts are open to You. Continue to bless them in all areas of their lives. Bless little Kayden with good health and grant him favor. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen!

Raeanne’s first Christmas in church

On 23 Dec, we went to church! It’s Raeanne's first Christmas and she dressed in her church best!

Before the Christmas service, we went for Cheng Xu’s Full month celebration. Here’s Rachael teaching all the aunties how to do emoji pop.

I don’t know why she had such a stern look.

My very onz friends acceded to her request to do emoji pop together!

Selfie queen and her friends

Rachael went for 4 yr old children’s church activity on her own! Praise God! I pray that this will continue.

After service, she played at her favorite “tree”.

And she requested for a photo to be taken!

 And tried eating egg!

Always enjoyable to have dinner with our friends!

The food was so good that it reminded us of Japan. So we decided to drink some sake! Cheers!

Each glass costs $19 and filled to the brim!!!

Here’s my Hamburg with cheese. $20.90.

We ended off the night with a stomach full of tasty food and a heart full of gratitude for the friendship that God has blessed us with.

Dear God, please continue to bless all of us in our health and give us joy every single day of our lives that we can go forth and spread the joy. Thank You for being with us in 2017. Continue to be with us in 2018! Thank You Jesus!

21 Dec - Christmas party in school

It’s Rachael’s first performance in school. I was really looking forward to it. Can you spot her?

She was really happy that I went to school to participate in the activities with her.

At the game station, I played this game with her too. But no one helped us take photos.

Here’s her playing with her best friend, Nazura!

And she did some art and craft

She loves the bee Hoon that Aunty in school cooks.

Her teachers made this backdrop for parents to take photos with their kids.

They even took polaroids for us!

Dear God, thank You for giving me the opportunity to take part in the activities in Rachael’s school. I am proud of her little performance and I’m looking forward to more. Thank You for blessing us with this sweet and pretty girl! May she continue to grow up gracefully. Amen!

Candlelight Service 2017

The year 2017 is really coming to an end. Yesterday we had our annual candlelight service. We were glad to be able to sit with Jane and Serene! It’s a challenge sitting high up in the terraces trying my best to make sure Raeanne doesn’t cry. Thank God everything went smoothly.

Raeanne was actually looking intensely while Pastor Bobby was preaching. But the look on her face showed that she’s bored. Lol!

Finally for the magical moment that Rachael has been waiting for!

May our friendship continue till the end of times.

Thank God for our family!

As we approach Christmas next week, I pray that we, including our extended family members, will experience the love of God. May all of us get a touch of God. I pray for the salvation of my Bro and Mum as well as Andy and Carol. This year may it be a joyous occasion that we celebrate the salvation of all our family members. In Jesus’ most precious name I pray, amen!!!

Raeanne’s 4th month

Raeanne hit her 4th month milestone on 15 Dec! To celebrate, we brought her to Obar Punggol to listen to live band. The band playing that day was Jaywalkers. Food was good and I personally love their voices and the songs they sang.

And I gave her a lick on my prawn paste chicken.

At 4 months old, Raeanne stays awake much longer than before. She will pop out from my Tula and watch the surroundings for quite some time before falling asleep inside. Even in the car seat, she might not fall asleep sometimes. Unlike the beginning days when she will sleep most of the time. So it’s a little bit more difficult to bring her out these days because we need to carry her all the time.

She has been having runny nose for the past few days. The mucus/phlegm makes it difficult for her to breathe. Poor her... she hasn’t been able to sleep well lately.

Dear God, I thank You for blessing us with 2 beautiful daughters. I pray that besides being beautiful on the outside, they will be beautiful on the inside as well. I pray that You will heal Raeanne of her runny nose and anything that is causing her to have too much mucus and phlegm. I pray that You will heal her sensitive nose and let it be normal. Let her not be tormented by the sticky mucus/phlegm. Take away all the sticky stuff and sicknesses in Jesus’ name! Let her be well, sleep well, feed well and grow well. In Jesus’ most precious name I pray, amen!!!

Night 2

Rachael slept through her first night in her own room successfully! 👏 Very proud of her.

Tonight is the 2nd night and she’s changing her mind. First she said she will sleep on her own and don’t need anyone to pat or scratch her to sleep. Then, she went on to saying tonight she still needs me to pat, tomorrow she will sleep alone. From patting her to wanting me to sleep with her. So I pat her and then came back to my own room to sleep.

However, she just woke up around 6.30am and wanted me to sleep with her.  Unfortunately, Raeanne woke up for milk too.... so well, I need to service to youngest first before I can go to the second youngest. Yawnzzzz...

Dear God,

Please continue to grant Rachael courage to sleep on her own. Help her to have a good sleep through the night that she will not wake up crying. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen!

First night on her own

Our baby Rachael has grown up! She’s finally ready to sleep on her own. We bought an IKEA KURA bed for her. It arrived yesterday and she slept on it all by herself last night in her own room!

She loves it because she has the space all to herself and doesn’t have to squeeze with us. Initially, she said she wants Raeanne to sleep with her. But at the end, she finds her too noisy and decided she could sleep alone. She even went to the extreme of asking us to make the room dark and close the door (we left the door ajar so that we could hear her if she calls).

The excited girl kept telling me to take photos of her climbing up and down the bed on her own.

Ladies and gentlemen, we announced our girl has grown up! She did it! Even though she still requires me to pat her to sleep, she managed to sleep through the night all by herself!

Thank You, Jesus, for giving her courage to overcome her fear of the dark and giving us the bed and privacy back! We pray that she will continue to sleep in her bed from now on. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen!
